E-bikes: The future of urban mobility
May 30, 2019 at 6 pm, the House of Sustainable Development, Vélo Québec and CRE-Montréal will be hosting the conference E-bikes: The future of urban mobility during the Go Bike Montréal Festival.
Electric-assist bikes are revolutionizing urban travel. In the Netherlands, e-bike sales already account for 50% of the market. The wave has spread to Europe and China and is about to hit North America, mainly Québec.
No longer deterred by long distances or steep slopes, more and more people will consider commuting by bike. This new reality should influence infrastructure designers and promote, among other things, the development of decent bike parking facilities. Ready for the revolution?
