Visit the interactive exhibit to learn about the Centre's construction and its technological and environmental aspects.

The Centre for Sustainable Development’s free, self-guided exhibit is open to the public [French only]. Its interactive terminals and information panels describe basic green building principles as well as techniques and materials used for constructing the Centre.

Nine interactive terminals and nine information panels make up the green building interactive exhibit coordinated by Equiterre. 

  • History of the Centre for Sustainable Development, with texts, photos and videos
  • Strategies used by the Centre to improve energy efficiency, lighting, air management, materials used for the building envelope, etc.
  • Main features of 87 ecological materials, sorted by usefulness, from insulation to countertops
  • Geothermal heating and cooling system and its application for industrial or residential buildings
  • Advantages of a socially minded economy and more specifically, information about the social insertion organization Le Boulot Vers…
  • Rainwater harvesting and water savings, indicated in real time in the first floor bathrooms
  • Various innovative aspects of the Centre for Sustainable Development: its five-storey living wall, its experimental concrete slabs made in part from powdered glass, its counters made from recycled glass, its wood reclaimed from rivers and its green roof

Come and discover the interactive exhibit from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturdays.

Groups of five people or more must sign up for a guided tour with Equiterre.
