Hydro-Quebec, the Centre's new main partner
The Centre for Sustainable Development announced today that Hydro-Quebec will be its new main partner and sponsor for its official program.
"The Centre for Sustainable Development is happy to count on Hydro-Quebec as its new main partner for the next three years", says Sidney Ribaux, president of the Centre and executive director for Equiterre. This support will provide a financial contribution of $250 000 a year from 2017 to 2019.
"Hydro-Quebec was one of the Centre's first partners and has been involved since the construction, even when many didn't believe the project would take off because it was so ambitious. It therefore makes complete sense that this Quebec landmark of renewable energy become our main partner in programming", adds Mr Ribaux, instigator of the Centre's project. Hydro-Quebec has also been leading the Centre's guided tours of the building every Friday.
"Hydro-Quebec and the Centre for Sustainable Development share a common vision for many Quebec issues such as energy efficiency and transportation electrification. We are impressed by the Centre's accomplishments of these past five years and we are vey happy to get involved to accompany the team through their next achievements", highlights Stella Leney, executive director, Environment and coporate affairs for Hydro-Quebec.
This announcement was made during the 2017 launch, Denis Bordeleau's exhibit Trace de vie, presented for the first time in Montreal, as well as a great networking extravaganza for social entrepreneurs and key business and sustainable development players. The event is available for viewing here.
