The Centre turns five

This fall, the Centre for Sustainable Development will be celebrating its fifth anniversary with a special program and a brand-new campaign titled My Green Home, aimed at inspiring citizens with tips and tricks for a more sustainable home. Why celebrate a five-year anniversary? Because the Centre’s long list of accomplishments and impressive results continue to prove its worth and relevance. The building that opened its doors five years ago has decidedly kept its many promises.

My Green Home

This campaign hopes to inspire citizens across Quebec and provide them with ideas for a more sustainable home. The positive blend of relevant, surprising and efficient tips aims to get citizens to take action, but also to share their own tricks. Each tip includes a citizen’s best-kept secrets for success, a five-step easy guide, relevant resources and ideas for furthering the action. A new trick will be presented every week. Enter to win a two-night stay in an ecological Zoobox cabin in the forest. For more information, visit mamaisondurable.org [French only].

Special programming

A Great Green Bal will be held to mark the occasion. This festive evening will bring together the Centre’s founding members, as well as the visionary partners behind the project, builders and employees of all the Centre’s organisations. Lots of surprises on the agenda.

In the view of upholding its mandate as a space for reflection, innovation, and the sharing of ideas, the Centre will be presenting a series of five panels on the evolution of top sustainable development issues, webcast and available online for citizens, experts and elected officials to enjoy.
