Nearly 30 free events await you this summer at the Centre – creative workshops, an eco-friendly fashion show, food tastings, art exhibitions, a great green picnic, guided tours, discussion panels, an evening of green dating – as well as brand new carbon market training for professionals and business executives.
The Centre’s always innovative summer program aims to engage festival-goers, downtown workers, experts and elected representatives in a playful, summer spirit while providing them with food for thought about current issues. A broad range of quality speakers – such as economics journalist Gérald Fillion and Les Carnivores infidèles author Catherine Lefebvre – demonstrate the variety of issues touched on by the program’s three main themes: 1) Oil, cars and consumerism, 2) Festive fare and an “agri-urban” future and 3) Fashion, art and society.
Great news: on June 12th, the Centre will be offering brand new training to help professionals and business executives prepare for their participation in the carbon market in 2015. This training session, entitled Carbon Market: Establishing an Effective Compliance Strategy [French only], will be held in collaboration with the Institute for Carbon and Energy Efficiency (IC2E) and National Ecocredit.
Other great news: the Centre will be open on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. starting June 7th and ending August 31rst.
