Showcase your artwork at the Centre!

The buzz surrounding the Centre for Sustainable Development, first LEED Platinum certified building in Quebec, shows the organization has reached its goal of providing a space for reflection, innovation, education and the meeting of minds on sustainable development. Setting up an art venue combining culture and sustainable development at the Centre seemed natural, considering the Centre’s location in the heart of Montreal’s entertainment district, and seeing as art is a universal public awareness tool. The Centre presents ten exhibits a year in the Atrium.

Although Montreal hosts its fair share of art venues, the Atrium is the only space exclusively dedicated to bringing together culture and sustainable development. This encourages interdisciplinarity, a key element of social innovation, by highlighting collaborations between artists and partners in content (scientists, experts or specialized organizations).

Art exhibits related to sustainable development

The Centre is always on the lookout for exhibits that raise public awareness of sustainable development (which includes environmental, economic and social issues) as outlined by the law on sustainable development passed in 2006 by the Government of Quebec.
