On Tuesday, October 20th, The Climate Reality Project Canada, in collaboration with the Centre for Sustainable Development, presents "Money Talks: How your money can help you reduce your carbon footprint”.
Most Canadians don’t know that their money is directly contributing to the climate crisis. With the increasingly frequent climate disasters, caused by the use and burning of fossil fuels looming on us, bringing down the financial system that heighten global warming is paramount, although, there is no one-size fit-all divestment strategies across sectors and organizations.
Therefore, many investors are now choosing to divest from fossil fuels and instead funnel their money into greener ventures that address the climate crisis. Join us on October 20th for a multi-sector perspective on fossil fuel divestment, the challenges we face and the solutions we have at our disposal.
